"Restore system image to another computer" can be realized easily
As is often the case that your computer needs to be replaced after several years, however, you don’t want to bother yourself into endless system installation, program installation and some related data migration. General backup software can help you create a system image backup, but can not grantee the booting on another computer with different hardware. Create a system image
To restore system image to another computer, you must take a system backup. If not, please follow the steps below to create one.
Step 1: Launch AOMEI Backupper, click "System Backup" in the Backup column.
Step 2: In order to distinguish this backup form others, edit the task name in the blank. AOMEI Backupper will automatically choose the system partition as the source. You only need to select a location as the destination path. It is recomended to backup to share network/NAS. Then, start the backup.
Step 3: Just wait for the success now. The whole progress will take a few minutes. At last click Finish.
Restore system image to another computer
There are two ways available for you to restore system image to another computer, one is creating a bootable media to restore system image, the other is system restore through PXE network booting, which will save physical media (USB or CD) and is ideal for restoring system image to multiple computers. No matter which way you choose, the restoration process is same.
Step 1: After another computer enter into AOMEI Windows PE, you will find AOMEI Backupper there. Click "Restore" tab. You need to find the system backup image you have already created by browsing a path from the file.
Step 2: AOMEI Backupper will pop out a prompt, saying that "would you like to do a system restore?" Click Yes to continue.
Step 3: Now select a backup time point to do the restore.
Tips: if another computer already contains a system that you want to reserve, you can restore this system image to another place. Tick "Restore system to other location" and follow the guidance.
Step 4: Finally comes the operation summary. Before you click the Start Backup button, make sure everything goes as you have expected by scanning this summary. And don’t forget to tick the Universal Restore option – this is very important. AOMEI Backupper will prompt you to restart the computer. Then, the operations will be completed under the Restart mode.
