Backup and restore partition easily in Gateway laptop or any other brands computers with a professional all-in-one backup software - AOMEI Backupper.

Backup before restoration

In order to make Gateway restore partition successfully, of course you have to prepare a backup file in advance. Backing up partition is one of ideal ways to avoid data loss caused by system crash, virus attack, human mistakes and so on. And when it comes to partition backup, system partition might be the first one you intend to back up since it’s the most important part in a computer. Then, how to backup a partition?

Backup is not simply copy&paste because there exist many invisible files as well. You can back up a partition in two methods. One is using Windows built-in kit:

Open Control Panel. Click Backup your computer.

If you want to back up system only, choose Create a system image on the left. If you want to back up other partitions, select Set up backup. Afterwards, just follow its wizard.

When backup is finished, as you see above, Windows offers the feature of restoration too. However, Windows built-in tool has several limitations. For example, sometimes some files will not be backed up or you can’t compress the image file, etc. As for restoring, if the computer fails to boot normally, it’s impossible to execute restoration with this wizard. By this token, the second method to restore Gateway partition comes, using a third-party software - AOMEI Backupper.
