When Need Partition/Volume Restore

The partition and volume work well at most of the time, but there would be some unexpected problems happening to the operating system. In this case, we should do a system backup in advance. As for partition backup, you can refer to the article -"how to backup partition/volume".

We can hardly restore partition to the normal state without a backup. However, you can try to recover lost and deleted partitions through the function of partition recovery of some partition recovery software, such as, AOMEI Partition Assistant.

If we have backed up the partition to an image file, the operation of restore can be completed easily. If the data on the partition is damaged, we can quickly restore partition to the normal state with the backed up image file.

Partition/volume restore may be needed in the following situations:
  • The data on partition/volume has been damaged. For example, the data on Drive D have been deleted accidentally.

  • The file system has been damaged. For example, Windows prompts that this partition needs to be formatted when you double clicking a partition.

  • Partition table has been destroyed, which leads to partition/volume loss.

  • Viruses and Trojans can not be cleared, so that we need to format partition/volume. But all the data will be eliminated, including the undamaged ones.

  • The damage of "Meta Information" on dynamic disk will make dynamic disk to the invalid state.

Restore is needed in all the situations mentioned above. That is why we need partition backup. The important data should be backed up at any time for its priceless. Once data is lost, thousands of dollars can hardly be recovered. Only if you make a backup in advance can you restore the lost data easily.

AOMEI Backup Software

AOMEI Technology focuses on the storage management. A backup and restore software of it- AOMEI backup software can meet the basic needs of most users. It can realize partition, volume and disk backup and restore easily. You can download and use it freely.
